Army Crest Pin id help - WW I? Heavy Crane.

"From the old the new will rise." Enamel pin, C catch. Can anyone tell me what company or battalion this is from? I think it may be from World War I

Thanks in advance for any assistance.IMG_5898.jpeg

And you are certain it's Army and not Navy? Asking because the Seabees were the construction branch of the Navy, but don't know if that's still an active branch or not.

Bet your local librarian could research that motto for you.

Looks more like some kind of salvage operations to me but no idea on the age of the pin, it doesn't look familiar.

@pennsylvaniaoldstuff,

You mis-read the motto. It is actually "On the old the new did rise".

I googled that, and found this:

World War II, 1051st Engineers. US Army Corps of Engineers.

Thank you! Comes from a general who was engineer in European Theater, so that makes sense.
