What are these tiny pins used for?

They were with a small lot of men's jewelry but I haven't seen their like before.  They fasten like a safety pin.

Black one is approx.  1 1/8 in. long, others are shorter as seen in photo.

Victorian lingerie pins.  If you found them in a men’s lot, he must have been quite the adventurous dresser 😎

LOL

He might have been, but most likely someone else just didn't know what they were either.

The black one has the look of heavily tarnished silver. If you buff the back gently with a piece of soft cotton marks might show.

Thanks, OCN!

That pin was so black and glossy I was sure it was enamel.  But I am getting the black off with polish so I can see it is silver underneath.

I haven't cleared enough of the back yet to see any marks.

I pored over the goldtone pins very carefully but didn't find any markings on them.  I will still take another look.

Is that a small pearl on the black pin? If so I would be cautious with polish around it.

It's very likely the gold ones are gold-filled. The color looks right to me, plus a lot of items were gold-filled and had no markings.
