I know this is not jewelry but there are so many old timers here on this board that I am asking, is there a telephone number that works for Ebay.
Not a huge deal but buyer opened a dispute regarding an item I mailed to her. It shows by tracking number that it was delivered to her mail box however she claims she never received it. She started a claim saying it was up to ME as the seller to make sure the item landed in "her hands" I said I got it to your mail box could one of your children or a neighbor have moved it or misplaced it somewhere. She became highly upset and said well I'm taking this to ebay and she did. Ebay has the 15.00 on hold, its not about the money its about what a seller is suppose to do in this instance. I went to the resolution center and entered the tracking number explained the item had been delivered to her mail box and have not heard anything from anyone. Your thoughts are appreciated.

As long as tracking shows it was delivered to their zip code, Ebay should close the case for you.

Can you contact the courier? I’ve had parcels marked as delivered when they have gone to the wrong address or they have hidden it somewhere random. One buyer got really shirty with me until I sent her the couriers photo of the parcel buried in a flower pot! If you are in the UK and it’s Royal Mail then the tracking will be the only evidence.

To me , it seems like you carried out your responsibility. If I understand correctly, it was entered “delivered “by the carrier. If it was delivered to the address that was listed by the customer-you have fulfilled your obligations. If it was shipped and tracked to the customer’s address that should end the controversy anything else would be your personal decision. That’s my 2 cents on this issue and “no” I haven’t encountered this issue, yet. EBay needs to remind buyer’s to update their personal information if it changes. Everyone is busy and a reminder from time to time would be useful.

Would win the ebay case: but when they do a charge back (Payment disputes what eBay calls this no days.) you most likly will lose.
Ah the way of eBay today....
Oh and for sure on your blocked bidders list....

Yep. The tracking showing delivered gets you off the hook with eBay seller requirements.
But as the OP said, when you customer does a chargeback, that is a whole new kettle of fish. Make sure you have everything related to this transaction in a pdf file so you can send it to her cc company.
Time to update your BuBbLe gum list. Put her in the woodshed.

Just went through this exact thing. Ebay closed the case in my favor. Showing the seller tracking is important but you must give that info to ebay. Not sure exactly how I did it but essentially I opened a case with tracking number and a request to cancel their case and release the funds. Solved within hours. I'll go back and check exactly what I did and try give you more info.

They just settled it in my favor, not that the money was the issue because it was only like 15 but tracking is always the way to go. Thanks for all your input. I called the telephone number up above and was told this is not operational for anyone other than if your account has been hacked. There are no live people to talk with.
