husqvarna riding lawn mower question

Does anyone who owns or work with husqvarna riding lawn mower have any idea what the possible is that the choke is not engaging? I have replaced the choke switch with brand new switch and still not engaging. Is there a possible a v-belt is loose or others problem?

Try the following:

1. Replace the gas in your riding mower, it might be bad.

2. Replace fuel filter, might be dirty.

3. Replace air filter.

4. Jump the starter solrnoid.

Hope this helps.

All 4 is good. The riding mower does start up good and running. But every time I pull up on the choke to engage the blade, it won't turn.

You don't pull the choke to engage the blade.  There is a seperate switch/knob for the blades.

you are right. I meant to mention that. I was in such a rush. Is there another solution why it won't engage?

Re: husqvarna riding lawn mower question

Hello and good morning, hope this helps...

The PTO switch provides power to the PTO clutch. If the switch is defective, it may not supply power to the PTO clutch. As a result, the clutch won't engage, and the lawn mower blades won't rotate. To determine if the switch is defective, use a multimeter to test it for continuity.

Re: husqvarna riding lawn mower question

Depending on the age of this mower, there may or may not be a safety switch under the seat.  It prevents the blades being engaged if no one is on the mower.  Also, the circuit to the blade clutch is most likely fused.  Look for an INLINE fuse somewher and check to see if blown.  Good luck.

Re: husqvarna riding lawn mower question

Make sure the mower isn't in reverse (some won't engage in reverse), check that the blades are blocked by a stick or something.   You should be able to check the belt that runs the blades fairly easily, make sure it's not broke or stuck.

Also have some sitting in the seat, mower running, foot on brake, engage the pto switch.  WHile they are doing that you should be looking between mower and deck to see if belt/pulleys are turning.
