I have been collecting these pots for over 50 years. I have had to have some of my pieces certified and Authenticated through receipts and actual value of them to get them insured.
Since last year I have seen a 1000% increase in claims of Antique and Vintage Yixing ZishaTeas pots with some very high prices on them. I look closely at them and I can tell that 99% of them were made with in the last few years and are not antique or vintage.
I asked on high priced seller for A certificate of Authenticity and proof of value. But to no avail I have gotten no replies.
Why? Because they are not Antique or Vintage.
Why is it eBay is allowing false claims and descriptions to flood the Yixing Zisha tea pot market? Especially from China and it Stateside warehouses located throughout the US. I guarantee that if we made false claims about our items we would have our accounts closed permanently.

I want Ebay to understand China and it's stateside warehouses are flooding the markets with fake Antique and Vintage Items ranging from stone seals, boar and tiger tooth jewelry, statues and brass Items as well. And not limited I found some fake blue and white China as well, Whole sets were available. the problem was those sets had not been made since the 50's and suddenly China had hundreds of full sets. I thro not. someone used old molds to recreate the sets but they were not original and the stamps on the bottom were way different and proved they were fakes.
I bought a supposed brass tea pot nice pictures looked pretty cool and even if it wasn't antique I wanted to buy it. So I purchased it only to get a reply from the seller that the factory that made it was closed. He gave the impression ion the item he had it in hand. so it wasn't an Antique at all it was a forgery or a fake being massed produced in China.

You say, you say, but who are you. Just a user name like I am.
eBay does not know or care.
The reason these fakes are on eBay is they can.
It is part of the reason eBay has gone to authentication services on some areas of sales.
There is no verified right owners on all this old stuff.
Of course the purchaser can claim not as described, but the return cost to China is prohibitive, and allows these scams to continue.
