Need help with Coach Ashton authentication. Tags don’t look right.

I bought this Coach Ashton bag and didn’t think anything of it until the seller posted multiple bags all with the same pictures. The sales tag attached to the bag doesn’t look right and is not something I have seen on this style. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thank you

Without even seeing the listing(s), I can state with 99.999% certainty that the listings you've found are listed by sellers in a certain Asian country, a country that supposedly have very strict anti-counterfeit laws and consequences for the sale of fakes. Yet, there are many fakes from there.

The bag shown is fake.

If you've already received it, go to your order and click to return it as either counterfeit (if that's an option) or as "not as pictured or described."

They are the Coach expert here.

Since you have purchased it you can post the item number.

I'm going to take a guess that you bought it from a Japanese seller?

The Coach Outlet lists the bag serial number as CM079. The original price is at $398.  I have NEVER seen a storypatch called a storypatch and that wording isn't right.  It’s cute, but I ‘m guessing your hunch is right and it’s a fake. Sorry!

Many Coach now say Storypatch.

On the US Coach Outlet site, CM079 belongs to the pebbled leather/Silver/Black Ashton. The signature denim/Gold/Den Gold/Natural is CY700. The denim/Silver/Indigo is CAK44.

Re: Need help with Coach Ashton authentication. Tags don’t look right.

The name on the eBay account where it was supposed to be coming from was an American name. However when I received the package it came from an Asian name so I think the seller is dropshipping. At least I got my money back and told to destroy it. Thank you for the help

Re: Need help with Coach Ashton authentication. Tags don’t look right.

The item I got came from a totally different Asian named seller than I was expecting so I was wondering if this seller is dropshipping. The pictures they had listed as the bag looked like they were taken in an actual Coach store. I was thinking they are just taking pictures of authentic bags and having a third party ship out replica bags. Fortunately  I was able to get my money refunded and told to destroy the bag.

thanks for helping.

It sounds like the seller knew exactly what she was peddling!
