I recently purchased a Vintage Coach Black Leather Basic Bag / Zippered Clutch Bag No. B2P-9455. Upon close inspection and comparing this bag with other Coach vintage Basic Bags on eBay, I discovered one main issue that causes me to believe this bag is not an authentic Coach Bag. The bag I received has what I believe is a microfiber suede interior. There is an unnatural sheen, or shine on the interior of the bag (see photo #1) . I also discovered some pieces of microfiber “peeling” on the underside of the inner pocket (see photo #2) and forming small visible balls or "pills" on the bottom of the bag (see photo #3). Photo #4 shows the Coach creed of the actual bag I received. My understanding of vintage Coach bags are that the interior of these leather handbags are genuine raw suede. The bag I received does not have these natural, genuine suede traits. Is the bag I received authentic, or is it a fake?

The bag shown in your pictures is authentic. It's a basic bag made in 2002 and although it's all leather, the leather isn't quite as nice (IMO) as that on 1980s-1990s bags. But again, it's absolutely genuine and IS leather.

The thing about suede especially if it had somewhat heavy items or items were repeatedly rubbed against it , is that it will turn somewhat shiny. Imagine a pair of suede shoes that you wore & wore & wore, eventually where they come in contact with say the floor of your car, eventually the suede rubs down and gets shiny.
