Hi, I am needing help authenticating my recent vintage 90s coach bag purchase. Everything seems okay for the most part, but what I am unsure about are the horizontal lines above and below the serial/style numbers- I keep reading mixed/conflicting information. Of the few articles I’ve found it just states “any thick lines are fake,” vs just lines (thin) in general. I have seen some listings have those lines and be confirmed by blogs as authentic. All the spelling and grammar in the creed seems to be fine. The “C” in the code is a little crooked, but I’ve never thought that to be a tell-all of authenticity when it comes to coach, especially since it’s not really a luxury brand with strict standards necessarily, and has been manufactured in multiple countries. Help!! Pls and thx.

Your bag is authentic and was made in 1999.
The lines above and below the numbers are the result of the stamping mechanism used at the time.
The stamping machines had dials on which they'd turn it to the number but sometimes, part of the number above and/or below on the dial would show as over or understamp.
There are fakes with phony overstamping but the counterfeiters didn't do it right and the stamps don't have the correct shapes of the numbers above and below the one that's stamps.
