I had a response, so I will retype it again. It is authentic, the early 80s and it was the first one that I purchased from Bamberger's. It was 50% off and with my employee discount of 20%, I paid around $75-80. I still have it. If you plan on listing it, I would send the pics to an acceptable authenticator @jsales could better help you with the name(s).
Nice find!

Can’t add more than your always excellent info on vintage Gucci. Always loved that bag and glad you still have yours. I can’t imagine it being buyer questioned but I guess the only thing to add is that the OP can invest another approx. $7.50 into it for a professional authentication that they can put in the listing to hopefully (never 100%) protect the listing. They should do well with it. It’s such a classic piece.

Thank you both for the very valuable information !
Could you please recommend a reputable authenticator.
And what kind of price range would I be looking at for a buy it now ?

I recently used authenticate4u for Gucci. They use brand specialists, multiple authenticators each having expertise in their own brand.
Price is $7.50 for a basic authentication.
Contact them first through their Facebook page at which time they'll tell you how to Paypal the payment. After payment is made, send pictures through Facebook messenger.

Use authenticate4u. Contact them through Facebook. You’ll use one addy to pay them through PayPal and a different one to send photos so make sure you use the right emails.
As far as pricing, that’s up to you. We can’t see the bag in hand to determine condition and pricing is up to you. It’s easy enough to search completed listings (use the left side of the page to scroll to SOLD) for Vintage Bostons and get the range. Do take into consideration condition and wear and tear. Good luck-it’s a nice bag!
