Chanel Handbag - Authentic? Please help!

I came across this bag today.  Is it a real, vintage Chanel?  Before I spend $$ for authentication, I want your knowledgeable opinions.  I am unfamiliar Chanel.  I have searched, and searched.  The interior leather "tag" is really making me question it.

It looks off to me also though I'm not a Chanel expert. 

Is there a hologram with serial number? 
Is the gold rubbing off the hardware making some of the areas silver?

Thank you for replying.  No serial number.  I read somewhere in my search that pre 1984 didn't have them.  It only has that leather tag inside.  No gold rubbing - all still looks gold.

The leather interior tag (hard to make out) is impressed with cc logo with Chanel and copyright symbol.  We think it says made in paris.  I don't think it should say made in paris, but not sure about vintage bags.
