The Extra Fee That was never calculated?

So, Started my ebay selling account not to long ago.

I sell multiple items and variations.

Ive already read the policy about sales fee.

Currently my percentage is 9.15%.

(In the ebay help you can read

Final value fees

We charge a final value fee when your item sells.

This fee is calculated as a percentage of the total amount of the sale. The total amount of the sale is the amount the buyer pays, including any shipping and handling charges. Sales tax isn't included in the calculation.

If for some reason the buyer doesn't pay, you need to either cancel the sale or report it as an unpaid item in order to be eligible for a final value fee credit.

Now, here is my discussion and questions.

Let's say I've had a item for sale at $7.95 with a buy 2 get 1 free.

Customer had purchased 4.

Customer paid, $23.85 + Plus blah blah.

Now the final fee should be 23.85 x .0915 = 2.18

but Ebay splits this purchase into Items.

They split 23.85 into 4 making it 5.96

5.96 x .0915 = .545

now it is charged.

$.55 per item

At the end of the day

it is suppose to be $2.18 and not $2.20 if we read the seller fee guide.

Has anyone has this issue?

Why am I fussing over 2 cents? well... I have over 50 items sold already in these similar situations and that accumulates fast.

means it's not only 2 cents... \

Any Thoughts?
