Anyone else think the men and womens underware listings are pretty much soft porn magazine shots? I would not want my 10 year old daughter looking up her first bra set and see a woman spread open wearing crotchless panties with a pearl string.

Thanks for the tip! I would never have thought about looking there.

I've lurked here, occasionally posted, and observed the changes in ebay and this group for years. Threads like this are one of the reasons I've chosen not to participate more frequently.
Whatever any of us thought of the OP or the opinion expressed, IMHO I don't understand the necessity of responding like a group of middle-school "mean girls." (That is what it looks like to me.) Did it accomplish any constructive purpose? Would anyone care to explain?
I've probably made myself a target for speaking up, but again IMHO, there is so much incivility in our world why would we want to bring more of it to this list?

I'm with you. Underwear is not the only place you are seeing this type of ad and unfortunately, they dominate the first 40 pages.

Thanks, Likelytrader. Unfortunately, a lack of taste AND manners seems to follow us everywhere we go, but then it's the human condition, I suppose.
This board serves a really useful function and a good deal of current information is exchanged here -- whether you're a seller or a buyer, IMHO. I'd like to see it stay that way for all of us, regardless of our points of view on life, love, sex and death.
Wishing all of you a pleasant weekend -- happy hunting and plenty of sales!

Disagree... I want as much info as I can get before I buy ANYTHING online, especially underwear.
I haven't looked in the teen section but the adult section is just that.
Supervision of youngsters is required this day and age almost ANYWHERE an the net.
Thanks, not trying to be unsympathetic to your issue... But I do a LOT of research and like details!

The bottom line (pun sort of intended) is that this board, IMO continues to offer great help and advice but it's not the place to vent subjective opinions that will never be shared by all and are sure to bring on the trolls.
We we can tell you if an item is authentic and probably decade date it. We can tell you what a fabric or treatment is called but we cannot make a call on what may be offensive to some nor should we IMO.
As an ebayer, you have the right to contact ebay and report a listing that you may find offensive but the company may or may not ageee with you. As a parent, it is, IMO 100% your responsibility to monitor your under 18 year old child's browsing.
What you may find offensive and not want your child to see may be exactly what someone else is looking for and happy to find it.
Are there listings in regular categories that should have been listed in "mature"? I'm sure there are but I know that trying to change that is not where I want to put my volunteer hours.
As for you own searching, there's a back button to use when you find something you'd rather not see. JMHO
