Louis Vuitton authentication help...

Can someone look at this listing and tell me if it's truly an "older" authentic piece or if it's a fake? I have found one just like it and want to be sure before I list it. Thanks!!

You need a close up picture of the hem stitching & the label.

@albertabrightalberta

Thank you! Slow typer here.

That's what I thought, just wanted a second opinion.

Re: Louis Vuitton authentication help...

I hadn't see the previous discussion on the scarf but it's a really obvious fake.

@lymo_64 - it's not good enough (nor does the law allow it) to "think" an item is authentic. If you aren't expert, you need to verify authenticity by having experts look at items.

You sold a fake, can't resell it and IMO, to have her return it is a waste of your return shipping money. Just tell her to destroy it and offer profuse apologies with the full refund!

Re: Louis Vuitton authentication help...

I should clarify.....the scarf you've shown in the pictures is fake. Without seeing YOUR scarf, we can't be sure that it's the same style.

I understand (based on your other thread) why you don't want to post the actual listing, I found a scarf sold on Oct 20, 2018 by a seller is South Carolina for $65. And if that's the listing, your buyer is correct about the scarf pictured in THAT listing.

Re: Louis Vuitton authentication help...

To the best of my knowledge that scarf has never existed as made by Vuitton. It’s pretty much to LV what the Rue Cambon chain scarf is to Chanel.
