Herme’s Brides de Gala-Help

Hello,

So I am a seller on eBay. I build guitar parts though, hence my question.

I have the above mentioned scarf. It is an estate item that I own. My Mom got it on her honeymoon in the early 70’s. I know it was never worn, and I know I should never have unfolded it because I’ve done messed that part up!

I have done a fair amount of research on it but still don’t know where, how or who to sell it to. I know that their are a lot of issues with authenticity and I have nothing more than the scarf, the box and what I have been told about it. It’s roughly 36” around in perfect condition and I just want to get rid of it.

if anyone here has any advice for me, or actually seeks these please let me know. I live in NYC,  so I am sure I can go into second hand stores and sell it that way, but I want to be sure of it’s worth and anything I need to know.

Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Herme’s Brides de Gala-Help

Your scarf is authentic and you do need to show it unfolded if you’re selling it here. I don’t know the name but @*vanessa*loredano* probably will. Oops just saw that you have the name. Once you have the name you can search closed auctions and get the selling price and go to the high end of that range since yours is vintage unworn. It looks lovely-good luck with it. Showing a closeup of the edge and that tag along with the print and writing is all you need. It’s obviously authentic. Watch your spelling on Hermès.

Personally I think this venue is your best place to sell it without having to give 40-50% to someone else.

One in your colorway sold recently for $289. IMO yours is worth at least that much and I think more since it’s mint unworn. Stress that in your listing and do a BIN with a Best Offer since some color ways of that scarf go for the low 100’s.

Lovely. First designed in the late 50s. You said yours is 70s. Designer is Hugo Grygkar. Navy combo.
