Help needed with authenticating an Hermes scarf

Hello everybody,

I was hoping that someone might be able to help me authenticate this Hermes scarf. I'm looking to buy it from a consignment store which has positive reviews on some forums. However, since only a few people have mentioned doing business with them I don't want to make a mistake, especially since this is my first Hermes purchase (perfumes excluded).

The descriptions says: Hermes silk scarf Musée, excellent with minor staining, comes without a tag/box and measures 34.5"x 35". The images they provided do not include a closeup of the edge of the scarf (I tried zooming in on the only portion that shows a small part of the edge).

They say they only sell 100% authentic but you can never be too cautious.

Given the quality of those photographs, I can see why you'd be cautious.  Do they include close-ups of the "minor staining."  I ask because one man's minor may be another man's major.

I contacted them and they said these photos had been taken in a studio, which is why the colours were so vivid. They offered to send the closeups of the stains and here they are:

Ah, you're giving me a big head! But if I wanted this design, I'd snap this one up in a heartbeat. Those stains don't look like anything much, and the scarf is authentic. If you have a fabulously good dry cleaner in your area, they might be able to spiff this up to near perfection - just remind them NOT to iron the hems!
