00-04 GUCCI Jacket Authentication Help Assistance

Greetings eBay community.. 

I'm hoping there is someone in the community that can assist me with this GUCCI Jacket before I list it.  I spent a few minutes on chat with a rep from eBay explaining the authentication process to me.  I am very apprehensive in sending my jacket to someone, as I have no idea of their expertise, or if it's deemed authentic having the faith that they will send it to the buyer in my original packaging, etc.    

BACKSTORY:   I received this jacket as a gift about 20yrs ago.  It came from Neiman's (inside retailer bag) with a purse.  So you might ask, "So why question it?"  About 10yrs ago before eBay authentication, I listed it and it was taken down as fake. I told my aunt, she was furious thinking I was doubting the purpose. She too questioned eBay's process at the time.  I also mentioned this to the eBay rep on the chat and she admitted that it's possible that eBay wasn't as astute back then, that they compare to other authentic items. The ID on the tag has 2004 - I tried to darken it for image purposes

I have reviewed several other Gucci listings on eBay and I'm puzzled: 

1) Re: Snap Fasteners, mine has starts with a German manufacturer, I noticed this with other listings even without Gucci imprinted on inner zippers, etc. Found jacket with stars on snap, but not button.

2) Why does eBay allow so many Gucci listings without authentication guarantee?

I hope the images are good enough.  THANKS IN ADVANCE for your help..  Oh btw, A week ago I reached out to that private authenticator biz recommended by some community members, they haven't replied on FB.

That depends on the price of the Gucci item. Also if any alterations have been done to the item, then it is not eligible. I would wait until you hear from the authentication service you sent it to before listing. Good luck.

Thanks for replying, this is also what eBay stated as well.  However, they said if the listing is over $250 there should be authentication guarantee.  So yes, many listed are over this price without it.  I have reached out to the company again and no response. Not sure they are in business.  I think I will contact The RealReal to see who they use. Was also considering listing it with them.
