Back in November I ordered a MacBook Air on eBay and the seller shipped it, a month had passed I had not received it, I checked my tracking number it had not changed the entire month other than the label being created at the office which it was mailed out of. A month and 1 week later the tracking is updated as damaged, 2 days later the tracking was updated again it was marked as delivered, another 2 days later it is labeled delivered to the same address again but this time it actually arrived and I witnessed via my security camera the USPS delivery man bring me a box cut open ( a box cutter was used) the package was clearly already empty and the fed ex paperwork was missing and 2 new stickers were added to the box (The stickers read “Received without content”) other than the shipping label. Keep in mind every package is weighted and it was weighted for 4lbs however the 2 new stickers placed contradict that which means it was shipped with the laptop, it went into the fed ex facility where it was stolen, and then held there for several days before the 2 new stickers were added then eventually sent out to USPS. The USPS branch that delivered my package uses a FedEx smart post account that handles all electronics shipped through them. The USPS branch has accepted responsibility and provided me a letter stating that. USPS is unable to refund me however before eBay shut down there customer support a rep I spoke with told me as long as I had a written letter, and picture proof via my security camera that the package arrived empty. A dispute occurred whether which company would be deemed liable for the refund, I was called a racial slur then the call disconnected. Eventually my case was closed after being reopened now I can’t make any call to support.

Im a little confused, did you open a not as described case here? Why would you go to FedEx about the damage? Had you filed a case, that would be the sellers job to handle FedEx.You would have been refunded, and it would be up to the seller to file for insurance with FedEx. If you are past Ebays thirty day mbg, you can still open a not as described case at PP, you have six months there. Not sure why you are blaming Ebay?

If its too late for even PP, and you used a cc, try for a chargeback with your bank. Why did you wait so long...thats kind of on you.

Thus, an Item Not Received case, should have been opened if the item did not come a day after delivery.

What did you do when you noticed this? Contact the seller to see if they could find out what was going on?

>A month and a week later
There goes your Buyer Protections from ebay. PayPal is your best hope or cc/bank

Im going to say it again. INR it, its not worth waiting.

Okay, so there is action that could be taken and there was something that could be done! Good job USPS

I can understand the dispute thing, but I doubt there were slurs, they are a company trying to keep a professional image. And when you said your case was eventually closed what did you try to do in the meantime with it?

You could doubt all you want but there were slurs used sir it’s not what you say goes you weren’t there end of story I immediately contacted eBay who then told me first wait until the arrival date passes then contact the seller. I did I was never contacted back and eBay did not step in , I have proof a theft a occurred. People on this forum have to understand a basic concept just because a company is worth more than a billion doesn’t mean it has the best interest of billions defending a company blindly gets you nowhere.
