How is it nit illegal to sell pre-order gaming systems for twice as much as they are worth? They found it illegal to do so with toilet paper and whatnot. I thought it went against the Federal Trade Commissions guidelines. If so why are they nit being stopped?

@dell-dimension
People need toilet paper, they don't need game systems.
They can sell their games for any price they want and don't think there is anything illegal about it.

Are you serious, are gaming systems an essential item during a pandemic?

Price gouging is the unlawful or unfair raising of prices, put simply. There are plenty of cases where action been taken against the seller, usually within the purview of the state's Attorney General.

This is a gross overreach of opinions. For example, ISOTINE eyedrops are not approved by the FDA (United States) for treatment of cataracts, although they are approved by the FDA in India. Would it be fair to say someone selling such an unregulated product in the United States is selling snake oil?
To some, game consoles might perform an essential role in someone else's life. Who has the right to judge?

Excuse me, but you really need to get over yourself. Since Isotine drops are an otc medication, they do not need to approved by the FDA. And since I have personally used them for ten years, and have had great success with my issues, I stand by my product.Exactly who are you to say what works and doesnt work for anyone? As far as game consoles being an essential item during a Pandemic,no, its not a matter of
'judging' what is an essential item. Its a matter of what the Federal Govt deems essential..sorry but that decision is not up to you.Maybe Googling the gouging laws could help you to better understand them,before you spout off in a public forum.
