Ebay program with AT&T/DirectV to reduce bill by 50 percent for two years.

Does anyone know if this is a legitimate opportunity or a scam? The caller said Ebay is financing this program to introduce a new card. Under it, you will pay half of your current DirecTV monthly payment for two years, get several new channels (movies or NFL). You must purchase Ebay cards for 6 months of the program as payment in advance, during which you will not be billed, and will continue at the reduced rate for the next 18 months. I called DirecTV and they say they have no association with Ebay, so I'm assuming it is a scam. But, they give you names to call, numbers, etc. You are supposed to get the cards first, then call a number and give them the information and the plan is activated. Have any of you received a similar call? Do you have any proof that it is legit, or that it is a scam?

SCAM. Start to finish.

There have been other posts here about it.

Giving out gift card(same as cash) info to a stranger is one of the 1st signs of a scam.

It's all a scam.

The names are fake and the numbers they give you go to the scammers.
