previous post- Kestner 143 approx 20" in original clothing, newer shoes. She is considered the oldest Kestner character faced doll.
Posed with her little Heubach muzzled puppy-dog.

(((((Choco)))))......
Wonderful dolls everyone. Terri, thank you for starting this tread.
A 13 M no mold number. IMHO, one of the prettiest AM dolls I have ever seen. Just love her chubby face and double chin! Marie

Love ALL these dolls. The bisques and parian dolls are stunning.
I love my Byelo Baby.

One of my 35" AE 3651 walker companion dolls. Fun to dress in toddler clothing.

My first (and currently only) bisque Kammer & Reinhardt doll - she isn't perfect, but I do love her, not least because I rescued her - I restrung her and reinforced the neck socket on her body. She does have damage round her neck socket but it doesn't show, and doesn't bother me. I know the purple sash is a bit syntheticky but it'll do until I can find a proper silk sash (or indeed, a better outfit). I do love the rounded moulding of her feet and toes, although it's made it a bit of a pain finding shoes for her as most of the shoes seem to be designed for more flat-footed dolls. She is an exceptionally beautiful example of the mould, I think, with her dark eyes and original wig.

She's wonderful, Mab.....
I'd be tempted to toss the ribbon altogether (the lines of the dress are SO elegant) and just leave her barefoot... I love chubby molded feet.
As for being less than perfect... many dolls needing help have found there way to me. Who can explain why doing a little repair work endears them to us more than if they'd been perfect from the start? 😉
Lovely, lovely... :-x

OMG! These are such fabulous posts! thanks and keep them coming! I get so much joy out of seeing these dolls! Here is my daily share, my Mary Ellen Doll by madam alexander. She really was a challenge to sew for and then I just started making patterns from her body instead of making her body fit other patterns. Once I got the bodice figure out, the rest was just rectangles for skirts and etc.....

Lots of pretty dollies have been added since I last peeked in on this thread!
Felita Hortense showing off her breeder hips. I love chinas with homemade bodies. I'm not sure who made her, does anyone have any ideas?
