Here's to hoping we get a lot of chatters to post this month. This is your chance to talk about any old thing ... any subject you want.
This is a real transition month for us here in the Pacific Northwest ... the rain starts. We have had one good storm come through so far and there will be more as the month goes on. What's the weather like in your neck of the woods?

Was wondering if you were OK Kate. I look forward to your starting each month's chat. I've not been posting due to an eye problem. I've got the kind of catarak that doesn't change much but then all of a sudden gets really bad. It's been hard for me to read. Driving has been out of the question. Having surgery this week and hope to be back posting soon.
In response to your question...this past week has been the hottest of the summer. I don't think it's going to last because I'm starting to see leaves changing color. Hoorah!!! I love Fall!

Sorry to hear you are still having eye problems solioir
We live in a retirement community. Catarac stories galore around here. Very seldom hear of a catarac surgery that was not a success. Seems everyone is happy with the results.
Hope you have some help with getting things from the store?
To and from the doctor or surgery?
I am having 3 medical procedures this week. Not able to eat for a few days that's the worst part. Happy to see some new chatter coming back.

Sorry to hear about your eyes Soloinar ... bet you'll be glad when the surgery is over and you have clear eyesight again.
Yes, I love fall too ... the cooler temperatures, changing colors and the rain. Our big oak tree is changing colors already and actually starting to drop leaves. Won't be long and we'll be out there raking.
Hope your medical tests go well DWB ... I hate having to fast before tests. Hope you travel to and from appointments with as much ease as possible. We'll be thinking of you over the next couple days.

Got through the surgery ok. Bit of a problem with anesthesia and dehydration but that passed. Now I've got 7 days of recovery where I can't do anything. The eye is already clearing up...it's the rest of my body that presents the problems. At least this time the people involved listened to me and didnt overdo the anesthesia! Tomorrow am is first follow up. Looking forward to being able to sleep in after that. Feel like I got run over by a Mac Truck!
Good luck with your tests DWB.
Kate, thanks so much for the posts. They put a smile on my face.

DWB had his 2nd procedure yesterday. Surgeon came and spoke with me while he was still sleeping. Told me he is the most exicting fun patient he has seen in years. He had all the help from the pre-op and in the surgery room all laughing. He has some big things going on within his body but none are life threatening. They will be doing another procedure this morning and another one Friday. They gave him an award in there yesterday. The nurses and staff said he was the jollyest surgery patient they have ever had in there ever. Hope to be doing this right, Liz

Liz ... thanks for the update on DWB ... hope all continues to go well ... he is indeed blessed with a positive atitude, a caring heart and such a wonderful sense of humor. You are lucky to have him in your life. Let him know we are all thinking of him as continues to go through these procedures.
Soloinar ... hope you are doing okay after your eye surgery ... how is the vision? How are you feeling? Hope all is good.

Got a bunch more tests done today. It's all related to my other health problems and my slow healing process. Nothing serious...just going to take about twice as long to heal as a normal person would. I can see better so that's good. And I was able to fit into pants that I haven't worn since before I quit smoking. So there are little rewards to be happy about.
Fall is creeping up on us down here. The leaves are already starting to change. I'm looking forward to seeing the season change this year...it's the first year we haven't had drought and the word is the colors are going to be magnificient. The sounds are changing too. Not as many crickets at night. Hunting season has started so a lot of the birds are quiet and the deer are hiding. I love Fall but I hate hunting season.
Hope you all have the opportunity to enjoy Autumn without any major disasters. My prayers are with those of you in the flooded areas in CO and the fire areas in CA and the other states.

I certainly understand about slow healing ... I am also a slow healer. Hope all continues to go well for you Soloinar.
Fall is a beautiful time of year ... I love the changing colors. How wonderful that you will get to experience that this year.

Hey Guys,
Hope everyone is doing good. Chilly here in Michigan right now 😞 Praying for everyone to have a low pain day. Been dealing with a lot of BS here, but who isn't?
I've been putting so much of my eBay business on the back burner, things like pictures and getting items online that have been sitting in boxes. Know I have to try to focus on it more... You know how it goes.. I owe, I owe, so off to work I go. The bill man cometh.
We had some stuff horrible stuff go on with my step daughter and her BF aka the 3 babies dad. Nasty stuff that would raise anyone's blood that cares for their kids or grandkids. Stress a key factor in my illness so I've been flaring up a lot.
So we are now (hubby and I) focusing on what we can do and control. Our home and yard and hubby's golf game 🙂
Take care
