How can this be ... summer months upon us already!

I got thrown off by the holiday on Monday and thought yesterday was Friday.  I was all set to go garage saleing today and hubby says nope, gotta go to work ... it's Friday.

Hope June finds everyone doing well, keeping busy and chatting up a storm.

The weather here on this first day of June has been glorious. I started my new house hunting and will be out looking again tomorrow. But I may cheat a bit...there's a vintage car show in Hardy and I love old cars.

Hope the weather is improving for all of you who have had a damp May!

It is another rainy day here in the Pacific Northwest ... that is one of the things I love about this part of the country ... it rains a lot.

We had a very quiet weekend ... hubby did yardwork ... I did a few listings.  Went and visited our daughter and her boyfriend for a while to get out of the house.

So glad to see so many people starting to post again ...

Rain makes the birds sing real pretty don't it?

The nice part of the postings from our members is the quality of the postings. Those who are here posting all the time have become the core of our team/group. It's easy to see we all really care about one another.

There are a lot of members reading our postings. They may be shy about posting messages.  Eventually some will begin to say a few things.

For those who are reading our postings. Maybe you are a lot of pain? Both in body and inside too. We have been there too. We understand.

Please keep on reading. When you feel the time has come to try writing something. We will welcome you with our typical caring responses.

Birds are perched out here it's first light. Be back soon,

DWB

Good morning ... the birds indeed sound wonderful in the rain ... and it is another rainy day here.  This is very typical ... we have a Rose Festival in June and it almost always rains ... used to go to the parades every year when the kids were young but now ... well, we just stay home and avoid the crowds.

I have a friend who gave me stuff he asked me to list for him ... this should be fun because it is different then anything I have worked with before ... big, old metal trucks ... I mean big!!  One is 16" long ... another is 20" long.  The market looks competitive for these types of trucks.

Yes DWB I agree, I think that most people are reading and will eventually and hopefully start to post.  Sure would love to hear from some of them ... where they are from ... what kinds of things they sell ... or buy, etc.  I think they will find some caring and kind people here.

The trucks sure sound like fun. Good luck with them. They will draw a lot of trafic.

The rose parade wow is that around Portland by any chance? Seems  passed thru their on a train once. Seems like 400 years ago. 🙂

It is possible some who read postings said something in another group and were not treated nice in return. We have all been thru that one. We are all soft hearted caring folks in this group. What a difference.

Wondering if there is a topic we can begin inviting newcomers to write on. I did that in the very beginning remember?

Anyone else have any thoughts on a topic for that reason? A kind invitation for new comers.

Kate ain't those birds happy when it rains? We get rain every afternoon in Florida. They are thrilled with it.

Yes, yes the Rose Festival is just across the river from us in Portland OR ... I live in Vancouver ... the navy ships are coming in and that is doing a lot to hold up traffic what with having to raise bridges.

Rose Festival is a BIG thing in Portland ... they do a starlight parade and a grand floral parade.

Boy, I have a worry ... I got a phone call from my daughter this morning that my oldest son is in the hospital and is going to go in for gall bladder surgery.  I don't know anything about it except what I read on WebMD ... laproscopic surgery nowdays ... but still surgery that takes a couple hours.  I worry so ... anxiety mounts and well ... I know he'll be fine.

The sun is going to shine today ... the sky is blue and the clouds are white instead of grey.  My little garden will appreciate the rays of sunshine.

If it warms up, I will go sit on my front porch and read.

Kate, hope all goes well with the surgery. Let us know!

I don't know where the name came from but people who are members of groups but don't post are referred to as "lurkers." I think it's a terrible name! It sounds so sinister.

There are groups I belong to where I never post. Then there are groups that I probably should restrict my flow of words in. Sometimes it's scary to write to a bunch of people you don't know. The wonderful thing about this group is there's nothing scary about it!

Happy to announce that my son is fine ... had laproscopic surgery and was back to work in two days.  Light duty of course but still ...

Had such a fun weekend ... found many good treasures to sell ... spent Sunday with the family ... enjoyed playing with the grandsons.  They sure bring such joy.

Hope everyone has a great Monday.

You really explained that one well soloinar. The  part about there is nothing scary about this group. Sooooo true.

I read the P/S stuff often. When posting something next thing you know I was under attack. ?:| What a surprise. Never again.

We are all so kind to each other here it is wonderful. Thank you all for your exceptional care for one another. Makes this ol fella smile.

Glad to see the surgery went well. That is a big relief for ya.

Good news I am able to sit back up again. Only short times it is very painful. But improving.

Hope your garden chases after Jack and the Bean Stalk.

Good morning ...

It's another cloudy rainy day here ... we have already surpassed our yearly rainfall this water year.  We are over by nearly three inches.  It has rained a LOT!

So glad to hear you are able to sit up for a while DWB ... puts a whole new perspective on things I bet.  Hope the pain is less and less each day.
