How Can We Get More Members Posting?

We have nearly 100 members of our group.

Many members read thru postings. They do not post any messages. Maybe they are shy? Not sure why?

Please give your thoughts on how we can get more members to write.

Those who do post sure are some nice folks.

Re: How Can We Get More Members Posting?

Hi

I feel great being back with you all and posting. It really does give me a good feeling. And I plan on getting back in more often after some issues in my life get resolved.

Jim has offered his help in getting me started selling and I can't even contact him until I get this crap off my "to do" list... First of all my SSDI back pay is still being withheld by the SSA and I've been instructed by the mngr. of our local SSA office to send copies of several pieces of info.. to all my local and state senators, congressman and more. It's quite the case and I'm just overwhelmed..

My FMS and depression always flare around this time and the stamina to even get online is not there. I can't get comfortable in body or mind. I'm sure many of you feel this too. The SSA thing has got me so upset and I'm so very tired of it but I need to get this congressional investigation going again. There was one being done for over a year and we need to start over again.. Ah..... Anyway, I'm ok and I'll be back even stronger.

I MISS YOU ALL. I REALLY DO... Janet

Re: How Can We Get More Members Posting?

Was already retired when my body went into collapse.  We tried to get Soc Sec to give us more somehow.

We worked at it for 3 -1/2 years. Mailing in this and that. It was a never ending deal. Suddenly one day we got a piece of mail that told us "we never filed" with all the stuff included to file........ ?:

After a zillion more phone calls I found out after 1 year all the records would go away under what they call "non-active" in Soc Sec. So they suggested re-filing every year..... ?:|

Not sure how they can be so screwed up. We know a lady who works with them in the northeast. She told us it is like that everywhere. Just mass piles of confusion.

At the same time we have a neighbor who got full disability for being "too fat to work". He went into the soc sec office and they just approved him right away. He is almost 600 pounds.

Makes a lot of sense. But not to me.....?

Hope your experience with Soc Sec goes ok.
