Does that little check in the box in front of the thread title mean that there has been an accepted solution?

This thread: https://community.ebay.com/t5/The-Soapbox/Care-to-Share-Our-Resolutions/td-p/27930787/jump-to/first-...

has the little check in front of it, but no solution indicated within the thread...

Just curious.

Thanks.

That's great.  The "solution icon" is more visible...  easier to spot...

Thanks for remembering me!

OK kids, time to get the Dodge loaded up again. I hear 'Poppy's By the Tree' calling. This trip might be a long one too.

The current design isn't great crydoug@ebay & I have it on our list to improve the visibility of Accepted Solutions within threads.

I loved the old way an accepted solution was handled....the whole post turned green, so it was almost impossible to miss the accepted solution...and it was fun to see how many "greenies" you could rack up...and the OP had the option to check more than 1 (one) accepted solution which is helpful as so many times there is more than one correct answer, imo.

How much better life would be, if a liar's pants really did catch fire!

I loved that too! We'll try as much as we can to get back to a similar design 🙂

Out of context and disrupting the flow?

It's hard enough now to follow a thread the way people type inside quotes and whatever.  Peopkle are often replying to the wrong person, then correcting uit in a later post.  I've seen a lot of post where the OP clearly clicked the wrong post as a solution.  Sometimes even doing it on their own posts, possibly by accident.

It's not out of context or disrupting the flow.

The solution has the text 'ACCEPTED SOLUTION' and a check mark above it. It's a clear indication that the post has been marked as an Accepted Solution.

The rest of the thread still displays as it always has, chronologically underneath, including the solution.

Thanks.

The OP has the ability to unmark a post as a solution if they did happen to mark one in error.

When post 7 comes before post 2 and when post 7 makes refernce to something in post 3, it's out of conext/order and disrupting the flow:
