Resolved! What was is silver item used for, origin, age?

Hi, I need information on this item. It measures 6" in height and tested as solid silver however I don't know its fineness. I would appreciate any information as to its use, age and country of origin. Thanks in advance.

Resolved! What in the World is This?

They are both 1.5" in diameter. The tiny picture is under domed glass. On the back, there are two pieces of metal which are movable (up and down) as in perhaps you could attach it to something. Thanks in advance!

Input would be appreciated. Interesting vase.

Vase is 5 1/4" high, 4" wide at shoulder, the base 2 1/2" diameter and the mouth is 1 3/4" in diameter. I'm almost at a loss as to how to describe this vase. When I first saw it in a co-op, I thought nice/pretty, but ....I picked it up, it looked new...
