Hello, I see that most Rossini paintings go for much less, but some are auctioned as very expensive. Can anyone tell me more about this oil painting and how to value it? Framed dimensions are 43x31.5. Thank you

Here are the past year's sold prices for oil paintings that carry the signature "Rossini." I suspect these are factory paintings and Rossini is not an actual artist, but perhaps I am not correct. Anyway they are nice wall art and seem to sell well for the right price.

I agree. Yours does appear to be a decorative painting of the "hang and enjoy" school. Here's a sold eBay listing for a landscape of the same scene signed "Rossini" but in a different hand.

I too was thinking they are mass produced for the decorator trade after looking at a few samples doing a google search by that name.

Some of these have some age to them. Some meaning maybe 30 or 40 even 5o years. I remember large grocery stores parking a semi filled with "art" in the lot and having "art shows". I don't recall seeing that the shows were vetted though. 😀

Some people never fessed up that their family Megaladucci painting was actually bought in a Kroger parking lot 😎

Around here they would rent at places like Ramada Inn and have them in the banquet rooms. The ones I looked at on eBay seem to have some value but not pay the mortgage type value.
