Unknown (to me) Goebel Rooster/Chicken Spoon-rest(?) Early Mark

I acquired ta set of these a while ago and they just resurfaced while I was trying to organize. I could not find this form anywhere in my web searches. Hoping someone might have some info to share. I'm guessing they are on the rare side. Each stands about 2" tall. Thanks in advance.20250304_173607.jpg20250304_173615.jpg20250304_173621.jpg20250304_174332.jpg

There's no lip for the spoon handle.

Could they be salt cellars?

Yeah, salt cellars make more sense.

Even if not the intended use @greenportny I'd throw tea bag rest into the title. You may get more interested buyers that way.

Thanks for the suggestion.  I'm more curious as to if this is a known pattern. Are they indeed scarce/rare?
