I recently ordered 10 Silver eagle coins. Today I removed some of the coins from the plastic round containers they were in and could immediately tell they were fakes. Coins were too thick, to wide, weighed to little and the details were off. I just requested a refund from ebay and sent the coins back to the seller. Also, I see that the seller sold 138 lots of the same counterfeit coins. Is Ebay going to cancel the sellers account. Is Ebay going to notify all of the buyers to check their coins. If not, shame on ebay.
I spent a good amount of time on ebay today trying to figure out how to get hold of a live person at ebay to no avail.

No. Naming and shaming on the boards is not allowed. You can report them though.

Dear Maxine , I too bought some fake silver eagles but my seller has said to send them back, TO CHINA , that's not where they came from they arrived in a couple of days . Can I open a refund request also ? But how can we stop this person from doing business in the USA?

No eBay hasn’t done nothing to stop the sale of counterfeit coins I have reported 20 different sellers selling counterfeit coins and they said they weren’t doing anything wrong eBay doesn’t care about us just money.

What would be the result if one of us listed our known fake silver eagle coins for sale at say 5 dollars each? We obviously didn't make them, we are simply listing what we have from fraudulent sellers that we have dealt with on their own site. We can in fact prove we bought fakes and would be selling them as such for others to use as decoy coins for thieves. I wonder if there's any legal or criminal issues for doing it. Any media attention from any intent to ban or prosecute would blow the lid right off ebay and China’s fraudulent operation.

Selling fake or counterfeits is still illegal.
No matter where/who you purchased them from.

eBay is still happy aiding and abetting Chinese counterfeit bullion sellers. Report every listing and they just reply that it doesn't bother them at all to get a percentage off the scammers sales.

Did you actually get a reply from eBay that stated "it doesn't bother them at all to get a percentage off the scammers sales" or something similar to this? Can you post a copy of their response to you?
These fraudulent items should be reported to the FBI
You can do it here
A complaint to the Secrete Service would help also.
If there are enough complaints made, it will be investigated.

Ebay does NOT care. They allow this fraud as they make money from it. However, if you were to try and sell these coins, knowing they are fake, you'd be removed from Ebay and the FBI would pay you a visit. You, like me, are stuck with the fakes we unknowingly purchased and cannot get rid of them.
