I'm hoping that someone can help me identify and/or translate the Asian characters on the back of this pendant. The bear is 24K gold mounted on jade. Thank you in advance.

I can't read hanzi (Chinese) or kanji (Japanese), but here's what information I got from Google Translate:
和 田 玉 Hetian jade
定 set
金 gold
By the way, I think the figure is a tiger.

Thank you so much for your quick reply. Not sure what I was thinking but yes, I would agree that it's definitely a tiger. Many thanks again.

I'm not Chinese, (Japanese) but by googling more it reads
足金 means
Chuk Kam in English
It's technically Gold, but the purity is 99.0%, not
99.9% then it must read 千足金
99.99%, then it will be called in Chinese, 万足金
I've learned something new today!:D

Also, that 99.99 pure gold looks like it is only a layer of foil 9999.9999 cm thick.

I think you got the decimal point in the wrong place. That would be almost 100 meters thick.
