This is a Maurice Seymour photograph of a woman who signed it Bonnie. She looks familiar. But i am drawing a blank. Any help would be appreciated to identify her.

Could you post a sharper photo of the signature?

Maybe it is Bowe instead of Bonnie. Maybe Rosemarie Bowe? Definitely not Clara Bowe.

And the inscription so we have as many letters as possible to compare. Try different light angles so there is a contrast.

I doubt she would have signed with only her last name.

She looks like the actress, Eve Arden---honestly, she could be her twin. It has to be her, but her name isn't 'Bonnie'. ^^;;

Oh wait! She signed Rosie Bowe I think. Here's a photo and signature of hers. See what you think.

Sorry I didnt get back sooner. I have had problems getting the discussions to load for some reason. I thought it looked like Eve Arden too. The signature is definitely Bonnie. The inscription reads: To Everett- A friend indeed! Many thanks for all your wonderful help. Love Bonnie.

In a prior post, I gave you a link with a photo and signature and said I think the signature is Rosie Bowe as candd said it might be. There is a word before the last name which could be Rosie, or could be "love". But if you think it is definitely Bonnie, then obviously it isn't Rosemarie Bowe.

I tried googling < Maurice Seymour Bonnie > and found that he/they did a couple of portraits of Bonnie Baker, jazz singer, with her band leader Orrin Tucker in 1939. She was the only "Bonnie" I found with an association with the photogrpaher duo Maurice Seymour.
I don't know if this is her or not ... possily she's a bit older in your picture? The eyebrows look similar to me, anyway, but I don't see the hollows under the cheeks in the 1939 pics.

There's no way my finger can trace the signature and make it into Bonnie. I have no idea what it says.

"Bonnie (born 1976, Rio Grande Zoo) is a hybrid female Sumatran/Bornean orangutan living at the National Zoo in Washington, D.C., since 1980.
She began spontaneously whistling, mimicking an animal caretaker making the sound. This is significant as whistling is a sound that is in a human's—but not an orangutan's—repertoire. While some "lower primates" have been shown to make non-standard sounds for their species, it has always been the result of intense training, whereas Bonnie picked up the new sound mechanism through imitation. Furthermore, she seems to whistle just because she likes the sound as opposed to producing this behavior in response to a potential food reward. Bonnie's whistling was documented in the journal Primates by Dr. Serge Wich et al."
