I've had this for about 25 years sitting in boxes moved from time to time and finally decided to do a little research on it. Is not Mark except for this large Crest or whatever it is on the front. It is about 6 in across. Any info would be appreciated, thank you.

I thought I posted this in the silver section?!?!

Looks like a souvenir of whatever place the of heraldy represents. I don't have time for a search, unfortunately, but this is an invaluable source for all civic heraldry:

There is no silver forum here on eBay that I know of, so this is the best place for your thread.

Thank you I appreciate the reference. I have never been to this site. Mostly I was having trouble with the mark on the bottom left I have no idea what it is, lol. Thanks again...

Thank you. I have been on eBay since 1998 however I seldom use the discussion board but I found it really helpful. So in a way I'm new to all this.... Take care, I really appreciate it.

Post photos of the back with close ups of any writing. And size. Sorta looks like an old hubcap from when they would only cover the hub, not the entire wheel.

OP does state the size ("about 6 in across"), if that helps.

Maybe the heraldry is complete fantasy. Maybe it is a city or similar, as I suspect. The work is rather clumsy (poor old lion). But I can't track it down because I can't identify it all.
What is the thing I circled? It looks like a pot of some sort on a tripod, with two other smaller unknown elementa on each side, at the top. Do you know what it is?

Sorry I didn't catch that. Still in the range of some early hubcaps but that's not what I was thinking. Photo of the back would still help.

No, I have no clue. The gateways/turrets are a bit of a mystery too, with those three dots and the things on top.
I was able to get a sharper close-up:

That's a far better image but, alas, it gets me no further along.
Is what I see as a tripod holding a pot not that but a pair of crossed implements, maybe axes? Not that that helps identify the "pot" thing.
There is much fantasy heraldry out there, of course, but it usually contains easily recognized, common elements -- which this does not. I still think that if it is real, it's civic.

The tower tops, some covered are battelments. And they all had walkways, some with roofs, some open. The lower "dots" are windows. Maybe that cauldron on stand was for pouring boiling oil on the baddies trying to scale the wall. I think.

Is it just me or does that device in the enter look like a clawed animal paw? The devices on either side of the cauldron(?) could be flags, too.

Was all geared up to yell "¡Spanish!" but the ?cauldron supported by axes? Threw me. See why I thought this:
Then I remembered a few years ago I was tracking down a silver piece and it turned out to be either Danish or Swedish, can't recall. The "three towers" insignia in the center of the crest is much like the hallmark I remember, but I can't find it anymore.
The only thing I found that resembles/echoes the "cauldron on axes" quarter is a 'Beacon' shown here, alight:
Just by way of curiosity, we're looking at a pewter dish, yes? And there's nothing on the reverse?
Anyway, hope this was remotely helpful!
