Bear with me...I will post some photos as soon as I get home from work. Very busy working a full time and a half job plus listing, and on on top of that living in NYC during this particular time! Thanks for all the help on here, very much appreciated.

I honestly thought that might really be the title, after enlarging the photo and struggling to make something of the blur. (It beats "Study," anyway.)

So, it is the name/title of the artwork. Probably a commissioned piece and we are looking at a step-along-the-way. A preliminary sketch.

How about the back - any writing/stamps/labels? Any clues as to the provenance? At this point the signature still has us beat, so we need all the leads we can get.

Unfortunately it is blank on the back, Nothing but brown paper.

Crop the image only, no mat or frame, and run it through Google Image search.

Just had another look at it there, without success. It is such a frustrating signature, really. At first glance it looks like it ought to be quite easy - it isn't a hopeless scrawl or anything - but when you examine it more closely it's hard even to come up with a plausible guess or suggestion as to what the name might be.

It's the wrong date sequence for it to be someone who was influenced by Banksy, but still possible that Banksy saw this person's work and was influenced by it. This is who Banksy is: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banksy
