Re: Antique 14 " clear blue swirl library parlor oil lamp shade ?

This shade is from a GWTW style lamp that's been offered in catalogs since the 1980's  The bottom portion is made of the same style glass with the appropriate antique brass lamp parts.  I recall them being sold in the Montgomery Ward catalog as well as others such as Service Merchandise, Consumers, J.C, Penny etc.  As lamp shades of this nature break easily, lamp restorers are always in the market for them and pay depending on the rarity in the market place at the time.  I've sold glass lamp shades on ebay over the years sometimes only getting ten bucks for them and as high as fifty bucks depending on how many people are wanting that particular shade at that particular time.  No matter what your shade has value.  It's a vintage piece, not an antique.  Good luck to you!!!!
