Bearded Half Dollar

I've been searching and searching and cannot find info on a bearded Kennedy half dollar I have.  Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

To most collectors, it's been defaced. Being in unoriginal condition it's destroyed. But for fifty cents it's a neat knickknack.

depends on who you ask...

find a coin show where the Original Hobo Nickel Society (OHNS) is set up and let them take a look... they are experts in this type of modification and will be able to tell you on the spot if it's an amateur job or not...

if it's a known carver, one of them will be able to tell you did it...

i picked a hobo nickel somewhere and had it with me a coin show... showed it to one them, he pulled out a loupe and examined it, and handed it to another guy to verify his attribution... took them less than a minute...

Once it becomes safe, I'll definitely hit a coin show.
