wrong item sent, cannot find the purchase information on "MY PURCHASES"

I ordered shoes through eBay.  The wrong size and shoes were sent.  I went to return the item and there is no record of it under "MY PURCHASES".  I looked up the name and address of the sender through the Internet on the USPS mailing label.  They called me back and said that they were not the sender.  It looks like a scam.  What do I do?  I would like to talk with a real person at eBay but can find nothing on the Internet to let me know that .  Please help!

Is it possible you neglected to log into your account and made the purchase as a guest? If so, you can find information about issues with guest purchases here:

The phone reps have a terrible reputation for getting you off the phone as soon as possible even if that means giving you the advice you want to hear instead of the advice you need to have.

The social media Chat accounts are covered by trained eBay employees with some authority.
And you get a transcript so you can compare what you heard with what you were told.

If you look at the seller's account on eBay, in the left hand column, there will be a list of items sold.

Are your shoes there?

Does the seller even sell shoes?

Open @dox521 your order confirmation email.

Click to get to your shoes, then click RETURN THIS ITEM to start your return request.

Select the WRONG ITEM SENT reason, type 2 lines in Comments, upload a photo, then Submit request. After 3 business days if you still don't have a refund or a prepaid return label, step back in to escalate your case to eBay.

"they called me back"...you called a person? Why?

Easy to find item purchased...on eBay.purchases...or in an email in your inbox of emails.....

Or even how you made the purchase with a credit card through your credit card company on items bought.
