Does E Bay have a parts locator capability.  For example, if I have searched all of ebay for a part, and still can't find a seller that is posting the part I am looking for, but some sellers may have the part, but just not posting it at the time I am searching for it.  If ebay had a way they could isolate those types of items, where all sellers would be notified that a buyer is looking for that

 item, it could prompt a seller who has this item but does not have it posted, then, that seller could notify the buyer that they are going to post the item on eBay.  I would be interested in some feedback on this subject.  Leonard120947.

There is no such way to post want ad on ebay.

No, there's no way to let sellers know you're looking for something. The closest option is to set up a saved search. Search for the item using the search box or Advanced Search. When you get the results list, click the heart icon at the top to save the search. You'll then get emails when new items are listed.
