eBay only keeps a record of your purchases for 3 years.  If you keep your emails you might be able to find  a record of when you bought an item there.

If you paid with paypal, they keep a list of purchases.

You can get a very abbreviated summary list of all your purchases by going to My eBay>Account>Personal Info>Request your eBay data. Select Purchase History under Transaction Report. It takes eBay a few days to generate the report.
