eBay Case Closed Unfairly – Missing Part, No Resolution from Seller

I’ve been dealing with a frustrating issue with an eBay seller since January 3, 2025 regarding a missing part from my order. Despite multiple attempts to contact the seller, they have been unresponsive or unhelpful in resolving the issue.

I even reached out to seller directly, and their rep, Jared, tried to escalate the issue from their end, but I still have not received the missing part. After weeks of no progress, I attempted to escalate the case with eBay, but the automated system closed my case and says it cannot be appealed.

I’ve tried everything:

  • Reaching out to the seller multiple times
  • Contacting **** for assistance
  • Requesting eBay to intervene
  • Exploring return options, but I was not at fault for the missing part

At this point, eBay's automation has blocked me from reopening the case, and I’m left with an incomplete order. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on what to do next? I’m considering a chargeback with my bank, but I would prefer for eBay to step in and make this right.

Any suggestions or similar experiences would be appreciated!

If you received you item more than 30 days ago, Money Back Guarantee is void past 30 days so eBay will not be stepping in. 

Do try to resolve through your credit card, although you maybe asked to return what you did receive to get a refund. Because I don't think banks do partial refund requests.

Next time if it happens again, return to the case after 4 days and ask Ebay to step in for a refund.

Don't let the seller string you along until the case times out and closes.
