adult category disappeared from app?

I can't find the adult category in the app anymore. Where has it gone? And how do I find it? It used to be under the everything else category, but now its not there.

You do not need to search specifically in any one category to find items.  Type in what you are looking for, and if it is an adult item, you may have to verify you are over 18, but that is all you have to do.

Unfortunately it doesn't always work that way.  If you just search sometning if it's in any other category it won't ask if you are 18 and won't give you the opportunity to get to the adult category.  I just searched two things that should be in the adult category. One gave me 44,000 listings and the other 500. So it never gave me the option to go to the adult category. And I don't see the option to even search that category....so no idea what's going on there

The Adult Only area cannot be searched unless one is actually in the Adult Only area.  In other words, you have to go there first, with all that entails, and  then do the search.  Doing a search out in the main area won't show items listed as adult-only, although it may suggest you want that area if it thinks your search terms might belong there.  Going to a seller's listings, whether looking at a store or just viewing listings will show you they have adult only listings, but it won't show you what they are, unless you've already signed in through their function.  It's all just blanked out, with the notice that it's adult only.

Don't know for sure, but I'd have to wonder if this is another area where the app has problems, since that's what the OP states they are using -- just like you can't open a dispute using the app, among other things.  All I can suggest for the OP is to not use the app.  Either don't use a mobile device, or use a browser instead of the app, or view the full site, or whatever function is available.

That is what I was trying to point out. I too tried looking for things that used to be labeled as adult only (no photo) w/ the Adult Verification required, to view item logo.  I was surpised that some of the things did not require verfication, as opposed to things that did.  The health category is filled with things that should require verification. In other categories, things are are only slightly risque` require verification. The searches were done without using the app.

I FOUND IT>>>>>>

All I did was do a search for VIBRATOR

and at the top just above the results.

a tiny purple (i) is there and it says (are you looking for the adults only category)

click that and it takes you to the verify page.....

YES.....

I was super agitated i couldn't find it under categories.

No clue why they did this.

The phone app can be problematic.

Ebay has been re-designing pages, so it might come under that.

Had the same problem, but found the solution. Just open your browser's options (at the upper right corner) and select "Request Desktop Site". You can then access the adult section, bid and buy.
