Purchased Item from Seller on April 26th.
Estimated delivery Sat, Apr 30 - Tue, May 3
Item has been in the same status for two weeks. "SHIPMENT RECEIVED ACCEPTANCE PENDING" and no other tracking updates.
Opened a Item Not Received Request on Friday May 6th and the seller responded saying "Its media mail and its normal" to take this long. After back and forth messages it keeps telling me that
" Your action is required for item not received request" but the only option is to respond to the Seller AGAIN or close the case. Why is my action necessary when the only option is to keep messaging the seller? There is nothing further to be said. nor do I wish to keep communicating with them as they have offered no solution or update. It says I can ask ebay to step in and help May 13th so why is my action still required?

Just the way it is programmed.
Your option for action is as shown. To contact the seller. If you do not want to do so, then your action is to wait until you want eBay to step in.

I suspect eBay is allowing extra time for the item to be delivered. So on the 13th you may have options available.
According to the Post Master General they have a USPS delivered 87.9% of first-class mail on time, so I would expect media mail to be slower.

As frustrating as this is for you, it does happen with media mail. It would have been helpful if your seller had given a bit more empathy in their response to you though. The USPS never guarantees a definite delivery time for media, and the window that eBay gives to buyers can sometimes result in disappointment because neither eBay nor the seller can control the USPS service. I ship media all the time and occasionally I have seen just what you describe. An item stuck, showing absolutely no update to tracking for 2 or 3 weeks. It's unusual, but definitely happens. Every single time, without exception in my experience here, (selling 24 years almost), those packages finally get scanned and delivered. On the other hand, sometimes packages do get lost en route, no matter what carrier is being used. If I were the seller I'd open a search for it now on the USPS website. I've done that numerous times and strangely enough, tracking seems to usually show movement shortly after. You could consider asking your seller to do that if you chose to respond again in the case. Otherwise, just wait until the 13th and then ask eBay to step in. Best of luck!!
