It was uncommon in the past but now I see it quite often. Some sellers listed their stuff from screenshots, which photos were taken by phone and then they recapture it through screenshot function nd uploaded in listings
Is that ok in ebay? As a buyer I mostly avoid this kind of listings as I am not sure whether it's from the seller or that was a fake listing.

They may not know the correct way and are used to using their phones.

@Anonymous,
A quick look at your feedback profile shows that you buy a lot of vintage photographic equipment, mostly from sellers with experience listing those items. So I doubt your question is about their listing practices.
eBay has no way of verifying the photos used in listings actually are of the item a seller has listed. They can be pulled out of the cloud, from listings on ebay or from other sites. Usually those who do that are either inexperienced or brand new sellers, and as such, their listing descriptions are probably not very good ones either.
Your best bet to avoid description issues or scams, is only to buy from sellers who have experience selling those items. I would avoid very inexperienced or new seller's listings if you find they are using culled photos of items, especially if the prices for those items is a very good to a too good to be true one. Always check the feedback profile pages of any seller you intend to buy from before bidding on or buying their item(s). One of the things you may find on a profile page is all or most of their feedback, is for buying not selling before or in over a year, which could lead to issues because of their inexperience.

I think my very first seen this happen in sneakers or playing cards, then somehow I have started see this happen in camera gears as well . And so my question is not targeted to those experienced sellers , but those who listed it with screencap pictures .
