Why is mAmp (milliamp) output hidden on AC Adapter

I want to buy an adapter for my  (you pick) electronic device. In this case it happens to be a Boss BR-532.

I know the output voltage of my old (non-working) adapter - 9 volts, and the mAmps - 500.

When I look to buy the replacement one, the sellers have the picture Photoshopped so that the output mAmperage is  blurred. Can not ascertain how many mAmps the adapter outputs. The problem is that I need 500 mA, if it is 200 mA, it may not work. Anything over 500 mA is fine,  but under 200-300 is questionable - too little mAmps won't be enough to drive the device.

ALL of the sellers have the mAmps output covered or blurred or pictured so as you can't see the side of the device with the specs.

Anybody know why? Is this a legal issue, where the seller is not permitted to show the output mAmp spec?

@epsilon_publishing,

 This  looks to be an off brand after market product and the output being obscured means they are using a stock photo not of the actual charger you are trying to buy.  There is no law preventing them from showing the output information.

No matter what the listing says item location is, the item is probably being sold by a chinese seller.  Click on the sellers feedback number and on their profile page check the country they are registered in, and click on the numbers of non-positive feedback they have received, to read only those comments. You should look for items not being delivered, slow shipping, wrong items sent as well as quality issues.

When shopping for items like this one using Price: lowest first will display mostly chinese sellers items. Even using the United States only seller filter, does not block chinese sellers who drop ship from China, or who ebay helped register in the U,S.

While most of the aftermarket chargers are made in China, the ones sold for resale in the U.S. do have to meet some standards.  They are more expensive but its better to pay more and get the right item, than to have to deal with a possible return or a damaged item.  I would actually only buy a selective output charger with multiple charger pin adapters.  NEVER buy after market electronic products from sellers drop shipping from China or registered there.

Sellers charge a premium when you look for a wall wart for a specific model number, and they will not state  in words nor show in photos the electrical specs and plug dimensions they have researched for that device, to thwart you buying a cheaper wart with those same specs and dimensions you would have learned from their listing.

That's it, I never thought of that. Then they don't have to take a new photo for each adapter, which will vary by output Voltage and Amperage. Thanks for insight!

I do try to buy American, and prefer to buy local, too...
