Where is the countdown clock, and when does it start on an item

I am looking for the count down clock. Where is it and when does it start on an item?

For an auction, the countdown clock is just above the current/starting bid and is labelled "Time Left"

Additionally, you can click 'Place Bid' where it also appears.

It starts when the item becomes active and ends when the timer expires (based on listing setup)

There is no countdown clock for Buy It Now listings.
