When a seller abuses USPS supplies eBay removes my negative feedback, why?

I am sick of sellers abusing USPS supplies. They uses priority mail envelopes as padding. Put priority mail boxes inside out. Ship fedex with USPS boxes. etc.

There was a story a few days ago that USPS is considering getting rid of free supplies because of all of the abuse.

I have been leaving negative feedback whenever a seller abuses USPS supplies but eBay keeps removing the feedback if the seller calls in and complains. Why does eBay keep doing that? All this is doing is encouraging sellers to keep abusing USPS.

These sellers are going to ruin free supplies for everyone.

They may have already ruined free shipping supplies, the USPS has announced they may start charging for Priority mailing boxes and supplies 😞

Agree, why is eBay removing that feedback?

It might actually do some good if you reported the seller to their post offices.........

USPS Office of Attorney General has an online form to report this type of postal abuse.

I would gladly do that, how can I? It will just be my word against his though.

I had a fedex package delivered the other day with priority mail box. I asked the fedex driver why fedex allows this fraud to go on and he just shrugged his shoulders. They don't care.

is it this site? https://www.uspsoig.gov/uspsoig-contact

I get a server error when I click "theft by a non-postal employee"

not sure what other report it would be.

Although wrong, and as other posters have stated, there are 'other ways' to report this, it would depend on what you are saying in your feedback. If the feedback has nothing to do with 1.) you getting what you ordered and 2.) in the timeframe you were given- then it could be grounds for ebay to remove the feedback.

The best way IMO to report is to go to your local PO. Show the Postmaster what's going on and have them file the complaint with the sender's PO. The mailer could be banned from using online postage, or even have access to postal services denied completely.

The easier you are to offend the easier you are to control.

I recently received a package that used 10 new USPS padded envelopes for the padding. E-Bay didn't care, I could not find anywhere on the USPS site about this misuse of their shipping supplies. If sellers keep doing this wasteful act we will be paying for our shipping supplies and have to add that cost to our buyers. Everyone loses.

I don't know if that's they don't care or he/she has no control over it.

Why would they?

They aren't the postage police.

Ebay just is not in charge of everything....and thank goodness for THAT.

Negative is quite harsh if you received what you wanted for the price and shipping 'format' that was stated. Maybe a 'neutral' -as the comment is there, they get no credit for a positive and they cannot have it removed- you get your point across etc.

eBay is now routinely removing in bulk by the system NEGATIVE feedback left for seller by buyers, I was told be a Rep when I contacted why feedback has disappeared. This means when buyers think they are dealing with a seller with 100% or 99.9% +VE feedback, it may not be true. This defeats the entire system of feedback as we knew and trusted.

I agree that it is wrong to use them improperly, but the use of those materials has nothing to do with the actual eBay transaction.

Rate the transaction, not the sellers moral compass.
