Help. I tried everything it was working fine before but now when i try to purchase something it gives me this message. Ebay is the only website that won't accept my debit card for some reason. Amazon etc.. works fine. It use to work now it doesn't.
I tried purchasing a new laptop unfortunately this happened and the seller sold his last one. I am irritated about it. Also i don't use PayPal.
Any suggestions?

I got that message, but I tried again sometime later and it went through, so maybe it will work if you try again.

Are you being given a screen that allows you to enter your debit card information at check out?
Did you click on the Shipping and Payment tab on the listing page to see what payment methods the seller accepted?
Many ebay sellers only accept payment through PayPal.
If you use the App and / or the Cart, you may have gotten the message in error. If you use a portable device (phone or tablet) from many locations there are times when a wi-fi connection may not have the proper security certificates to allow you make payments.
The App has many glitches and the cart has some as well. If you use the app regularly, sometimes in order to make a payment you have to sign in the classic way with your username and password. That gives you access to the whole site, which has fewer issues.
There is a possibility that the error was caused by interference from cookies or a full temporary internet file. If you've been doing a lot of online shopping or searching, you may want to clear your temporary internet file and cookie cache. There are free utilities to do that available for most operating systems used on computers or portable devices.

Yes it gives me a screen where i put my debit card info on it etc... also tried deleting the history, cache, and cookies. Nothing worked. Weird thing is when i put the debit card again even if i saved it. It always wants me to put the security number on it again. Also i am using a laptop. Tried it on my phone same error.
Also the billing address is correct.

Having to renter your CVV number is probably a security precaution.
I just looked at your feedback profile and may see why you cannot complete the transaction. You are a newish member who has only made a few purchases probably not for expensive items. Chances are the price of the laptop triggered the New Buyer Restriction Limits ebay has in place. The link below may explain why you cannot make the payment. In the link are suggestions for getting the limits increased and opening a Paypal account and linking it to ebay is one. Registering a credit card on your account is another. You can remove it after the buying limits have been removed. I haven't had one listed in years.
Using PayPal is safe and almost always guarantees seamless transactions on ebay. They also offer 180 day buyer protections, which is much more time than most credit/debit card providers offer for items not received or not as described.

I also tried buying 11 dollar items and still won't go thru. It's the same thing they ask for Security code and then i click pay. Then it gives me the error.

"Tried to put debit card on paypal. Paypal won't accept it for some reason. There is another option bank account. But i am hesitate on doing that giving them my routing number etc".
Most 3rd party payment processing companies want a back up method to complete a payment in case a check or debit card payment doesn't go through. If you have a credit card add it to PayPal as your back up payment method. While I am not going to say that PayPal may not ever be hacked, so far they have not and millions of people use it who have given them their bank account info. They do not pass on any account info to a seller. They just let them know they have received a payment for an item and it is OK to ship it.

$400 of the price of a computer would be a warning to me that it has either been discontinued or is not being sold by an authorized dealer. In either case the manufacturer's warranty may not be in force. Manufacturer's set an MSRP for items and may allow an item to be discounted by maybe 25%, by their authorized dealers most of which comes out of their profit, but that sounds like a very deep discount to me. Did you check the Mfr's. site to see if the computer is still being made?

It sold out anyway. Yea its legit. That person bought those laptops on amazon during lightning deals on amazon day for only 1k. The original price was over 1800. He was then selling it on ebay for 1400. So hes making a 400 dollar profit.
Anyway called Ebay they said its Paypal. Called Paypal they tried to verify me so i can add the debit card and they said i failed on the verification process. Asked me weird questions from like 18 years ago. Like i can remember stuff like that. Pathetic.
