Generally speaking, I agree with you but without concrete parameters, 

there's no "rule" to hold people accountable to. 

It's like saying   drive safely.   

Does that mean stop at stop signs? 

Does it mean having speed limits?

Yield to turn signals?

Stay in the right lane except when passing?

Someone needs to put a percentage limit on the turnaround sell. 

Or implement price fixing.  

Product A can only sell for   X. 

Shipping and handling cannot exceed Y. 

It is then up to the seller to reduce their acquisition cost to maximize profit.

Over the years I've found that there are a few people out there who actually like high prices.

Price gouging is illegal.  Most states will have lists of items that are covered under price gouging laws.  eBay needs to permanently ban all sellers from this site who have participated in this practice.  i.e hand sanitizers, masks gloves, toilet paper, cleaning products.  They should allow any auctions for any of these products and frankly for the time being not allow any new listings.

I have found that most people concern themselves in reaping the most benefits possible for themselves, & don't really care very much about other people.
