Unable to enter an amount to bid on an item - why??

Yesterday I was unable to enter a bid on an item(a couple minutes before end time) - couldn't finish typing an amount, each time I'd try to type, whatever I had typed would disappear. I tried selecting the entire field and deleting and also backspacing, thinking maybe there were some invisible characters there somehow … still didn't work. Finally the item timed out so I wasn't able to buy it.

I searched the Technical discussion group before coming here and saw no report of technical issues. Anybody seen anything like this?

Running Windows 10 and using Edge browser. I am having no other technical issues and am sure my software is up to date.

There have been sporadic reports of the digits disappearing for the past several months.  Try a different page (some say it occurs if you are trying to bid from the Bid History Page but not the Listing Page), a different browser, a different device, reboot, etc.

So, at least maybe it's not just me. Kind of sad that sellers are losing $ over this, I know the item I was wanting to bid on sold for quite a bit less than I was ready to bid. Definitely speaks for best seller practice to be BIN!
