Too good to be true?

I just purchased an amplifier that was abnormally cheap. Can the seller see my card imfo? Or is it dome through ebay? I'm a little worries.

@rowegm0   Sellers do not have access to your credit card information nor do they have your PayPal account information if you use a credit card as a funding source through PayPal.

Ordinarily if something sounds too good to be true, it usually is.  Don't let your greed for a good deal end up costing you.

So long as you used the "checkout" feature ON THE EBAY LISTING page, the seller does not see any of that information.  However, if this possibly 'too good to be true' item was paid for some other way,  there may be a problem.  

Just watch the tracking number.  Typically, a reputable transaction will have the information uploaded to eBay when the said item is shipped.

Does the seller have a user name that looks computer generated? Are they located outside of the US? A seller with little feedback or feedback for selling penny items?  Those are signs of trouble. The number one sign, the price was too good to be true.

 

Your credit card is safe but, if they use the fake tracking number scam, your in for some work.
