The Trump 25% Tariffs have hit Ebay, this essentially makes it uneconomical to purchase anything from the US. People need to speak up a voice displeasure with the impacts to you. Sellers, you just lost access to Billions of buyers.
Oh and they are also speaking with their new goods purchases, like wine, automobiles, liquor, meat as well as their travel dollars.

So are you suggesting that everyone should purchase from out of the U.S.? China, for example?
If a person is looking to buy cheap items, there are plenty of websites that sell such things.

@gordp it's so awesome to have choices in the free world, some take for granted, happy buying to you!
glad that not everyone thinks all online sellers, especially small business/personal sellers, are to blame for any political decisions, and will choose not to punish them
not sure how Americans feel about purchasing from Canada, depending on the tariff situation, but hopefully will not take it out on innocent sellers

Crying about what other countries do will get you nowhere. Your displeasure should be at you're the Canadian Govt. for spending/sending 272 million (last week) to Bangladesh. If that money was dispersed to every Canadian, each would get approx. 7,500. Thankfully you have a new leader about to be installed and hopefully he can help Canadians with issues Canadians CAN control. Good luck.

It is early, and I have not had my coffee yet, but I think you have it backwards. The new tariffs will be charged for goods coming into (imported) to the US. This will make products made in Canada, Mexico, China more expensive for US citizens and perhaps make them less desirable as a result for people that live in the US.
It only would make American products shipped to Canada uneconomical for you if Canada levies tariffs in retaliation.

Yes, and all US goods, regardless of where manufactured, moving to Canada have a minimum 25% tariff.

I will remind you hope is not a strategy. Yes, the ones who suffer will be the consumer and the small sellers. Prices will go up, supply will go down, and many will go out of business as a result as consumers stop or slow purchasing. Just the reality as consumers will shift purchasing, to alternate sources that don'tt have tariffs (TAXES).

I'm not suggesting that at all. I am just saying this is going to impact all of us (consumers) on both sides of the border. People will buy from where ever is most convienient, lowest cost, and best service. If that is elsewhere they will go there. Walmart, Target, etc., are examples of that as 90% of their goods come from China.

Tariff, schmariff. The US is imposing on Canada the same tariffs that Canada imposes on the US. It's called reciprocal. Anyway, I anticipate the situation to be temporary. I love the Canadian people and buy from sellers up there frequently. Instead of worrying about tariffs, you guys should work on your postal system.

Why did I think that the tariffs would be on goods coming into the United States, not on goods being sold in the US and sent internationally?

As if the USPS is any better.

Sick of "what aboutism". How does Bangladesh factor into Ebays buying and selling.
Go hijack someone who cares thread.

Which "guys" should work on their postal system, and exactly what do you suggest could be done by us "guys"?

Because if your government was working for YOU, it would not be sending much needed resources (272 million) to others before making sure EVERYONE in your country is taken care of first. DUH
Let's be honest, you are not leaving eBay and have no desire to.
Maybe i should say ALOHA since it appears that you don't know if you're coming or going. 😂
