The tracking label number not scanning/isn't correct?

I bought this 6 days ago, the seller said that they used the tracking label you print out from eBay but it has never scanned

I just find it weird that the tracking label you get from eBay wouldn't scan.

It isn't that it won't scan..It's the postal worker that didn't scan. Happens to me a lot. Nothing you can do but wait for it to show up at the next facility. I have noticed that when packages reach one of the Tennessee Distribution Hubs and departs it will finally be scanned. I was told by the Post Office Carrier manager that they use a 3rd party service to haul mail from PO here and forget to do the initial scan. Carriers also drop the ball too. At this monent I have a package that I took to the post office several days ago tracking still says Carrier has the package.

Tracking labels from eBay are no different than any other tracking label. A postal worker doesn't look at it and say, "oh gee, I have to be extra careful to scan this one, it's from eBay."

Packages not being scanned happens all the time. I've seen a number of cases where the only scan on a package was the delivery scan. It's a good reason to not obsess over tracking. If the package doesn't arrive by the day after the last estimated delivery date, open a not received case.
